Carpe Diem

Marble sculpture – unique artwork

The artwork is very complicated and relized with a special technique : it is completely empty form the inside. A lot of florals references ( hundreds of leaves and flowers) arise form the black marble’s base, that is connected to the water, and is a unique massive marble block. Like the recurring symbolgy of the artist, the artwork is made with full and empty, and express the principle of body and soul. The base of the arm with the botanical shapes remember the life and the importance of the family, the “ tree of life”. The artwork realization take inspiration from the italianancient classical techniques of sculpture. Inspirate to Lake Como (‘800)Neoclassicism, the artwork contains aesthetic stylistic from the Italian Classical sculpture and it’s Surrealistic theme. Is directly referred to the latin “Carpe Diem“, seize the moment, is a tribute to the man of action, to the one who understands the importance. of living his present.

”In the dreams lives the desires and the fears of every man. But every day the life reserve new surprises and every man must pick up the destiny that runs away. For every good gesture even if it has cost sacrifice and pain, the dreams will sprout for themselves and for the others. This is the destiny of the illuminated and correct men.”
